Hey Chris,
Fulci’s “Zombi” (Flesh Eaters) is a rough one for me to critique. It certainly isn’t without flaw. I saw it first in the mid-80’s on a murky VHS. Oddly enough, not a whole lot was deleted. It was at a time where I wasn’t use to Italian Horror (it takes time), I wasn’t sure what to think. It was visually mind blowing, the dialog was a bit …off.
Today it is a “go to” film for me. Kick back and just enjoy. The Blue Underground Blu-Ray is a dream come true. Got it when it came out. Watched it at least four times since. A+ Soundtrack. That Zombie vs. shark scene is still crazy 35 years on! This is a must have!
