I actually saw this on the big screen way back in the early 80s. We had a local fleapit cinema that probably couldn’t afford the big releases so it got all these weird b movies instead. At the time I didn’t know anything about The Beyond, just that it was a horror flick, which was good enough for me haha. Anyway, I sat down to watch it and omg, I didn’t know what hit me. Bloody amazing back then. The music,the gore, the creepiness. Of course, if you only seen it in the last few years, or even anytime after the 80s, you might not be too impressed, but I’m telling you, The Beyond was special back then. And I still adore it now. That theme music still stands as one of the greatest horror themes ever imo.
